ADAGIO Announces New Album Title

August 28, 2006

Guitarist Stephan Forté has completed the songwriting sessions for ADAGIO's fourth album, entitled "Archangels in Black". The album will feature nine songs plus a bonus track for Japan. According to the band, the compositions are "the ultimate balance between melodic and extreme metal and can be considered a more brutal vision of 'Underworld'." The recording sessions will start in October for an early 2007 release.

ADAGIO released its latest album, "Dominate", in North America and Europe (outside France) in July via Locomotive Music. The CD — which was issued in Japan in December via Avalon/Marquee and in France in March through Double Vision (via Sony/BMG distribution) — was produced by Stephan Forté and Kevin Codfert, and was mixed at House of Audio Studios in Germany by Dennis Ward.
